Annlaug Maria Tolo
After apprenticing to learn tattooing in Spain from 2004 to 2006, Annlaug then moved to Germany 2006 and worked freelance at a shop in Mannheim for a few years. There she developed and learned a lot. It was a difficult time though; poor shop management and lots of shop drama so she finally broke out to do her own thing. Annlaug had her own shop in Germany for a few years and met great people that became dear friends and she still stays in touch with fellow tattooers from that time.
In 2010/2011 she moved back to Norway and started her own shop, Fjord Tattoo in Øystese, Hardanger (her home town). It was a great experience , but ended up being very lonely work with no other tattooers around to share and discuss things with.
She got the opportunity to be a guest artist at Lets Buzz Tattoo in Bergen, Norway. After a few visits, she started full time there in January 2012, until February 2016. Having shared a room and friendship at work with Jannicke for 4 years, it was time now for them both to move on, together. And thus, Nidhogg Tattoo was born.
Annlaug loves doing many styles within tattooing, and she does masterful black and grey portraits and sexy colourful pinups equally well. She is also into doing smaller pieces that can be done in one day, so feel free to contact her with your ideas by stopping by Nidhogg or mailing her at : annlaugtolo@gmail.com
Jannicke Wiese-Hansen
Having more than 20 years of experience in tattooing, Jannicke has now finally started a studio of her own,- Nidhogg. Her background is mainly from Let's Buzz in Bergen, where she worked from her apprenticeship to February 2016. In between she has travelled and done guestspots in several studios in the US, worked for some time in Wales and also guested in eastern Norway at Tattooica.
Her background in the Norwegian black metal scene, where she designed several of the wellknown albumcovers and bandlogos, is still shaping her taste in tattooing style. Black and grey, dark realism, and norse mythology is her heart closest. The more recent years she has become known for her woodcarving style. She loves making the skin look "carved" in wood as well as giving it a stone texture. For contact, visit Nidhogg or email her at:
